If you’ve noticed volume loss in your cheeks due to aging and you want to rejuvenate your face and get a more defined, youthful look, you may be wondering what cheek fillers can do for you. Cheek filler injections are a popular treatment here at OMNI SCULPT MD. In this blog, we’ll explore what cheek fillers are and what they can do to improve your facial balance, what to expect during and after the cheek filler procedure, and what results you can expect once treatment is done.
What Cheek Fillers Do to Enhance Your Facial Balance
As we age, we naturally lose volume in our cheeks. Cheek filler is a non-invasive way to regain that lost volume and restore your youthful appearance without going under the knife for an invasive surgical procedure.
Cheek filler injections can be used to achieve many cosmetic goals, including:
- Defining and enhancing your cheekbones
- Increasing the volume of your cheeks
- Smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles in the cheek area
- Lifting jowls
- Making your overall facial appearance more youthful
- Balances your overall profile
The Cheek Filler Procedure
When you schedule a consultation for cheek fillers at OMNI SCULPT MD, you’ll have an extensive consultation with Dr. DeGironemo to discuss your specific aesthetic goals and the best products and treatments to achieve them.
A typical cheek filler treatment only takes about 15 to 30 minutes.
Before injecting the dermal fillers, we clean the treatment area and apply a simple topical anesthetic to numb the skin. We then inject dermal fillers into strategic places in the cheek area of your face to achieve the desired result. We base the number of injections and the amount of filler injected on the amount of volume you need to build to achieve your desired appearance. If you have hollow cheeks, you may need more cheek filler to reach your goals.
What to Expect After Cheek Filler Treatment
After your cheek filler treatment, you may experience a bit of redness or mild swelling. This is completely normal. It will subside in a few days. We recommend using an ice pack to help reduce the swelling.
You’ll see the results of your cheek filler treatment right away. Your cheeks will look fuller and more defined. You’ll notice a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. And your face will have a rejuvenated, more youthful appearance overall.
How Long Does Cheek Filler Last?
Cheek fillers can last anywhere from six months to two years, depending on how your body metabolizes the dermal fillers. Results are usually fairly consistent, so if you’ve had cheek fillers in the past, you should have a good idea of how long they’ll last in your body.
